UWStout ICT Masters of Science
Created in fulfillment of a master's degree program in ICT at Wisconsin's Polytechnic University UW-Stout, my intention is to showcase academic work and achievement as well as my evolving experience within the field of Information Communication Technology.
ICTMS Program Goal Statement
To endeavor within the ICTMS program as a qualified, technically skilled director of e-business strategies, SEO/SEM, and web analytics. My knowledge and experience of integrated software and their various applications will have effectively prepared me to communicate these systems with colleagues.
Dissecting the acronym ICT provides an enhanced understanding of the collective term:
Information knowledge as wisdom are terms for human acquirement through study and practical experience.
Communication interchange between a sender (encoder) and a receiver (decoder) follows a loop whereby each participant initiates feedback from his/her own field of experience (Schramm Model).
Technology from a broad humanistic point of view, is the complex problem solving skill that extend human abilities to move beyond their natural environment towards the extrapolation of thought processes that punctuate human development.

ICTMS Emphasis Area Competencies:
UW-STOUTICTMS Degree is based upon a student centered learning approach with an opportunity for each individual student to develop a goal statement that denotes his/her personal goal. The following areas are my intended focus area in which to develop competency. My area of interest lies in the technological field of e-commerce business strategies. I intend to focus on the competency areas related to web production/publication: search engine optimization, web analytics , and e-business commerce . As such, my areas of study include the following courses: 575Web Design, 511Analytics, 645Graphic Production and Publication, 550E-Business Strategy and Practice, 701 and 702InformationCommunication Technology in Organizations, and 710 Learning Technologies. UW-STOUTICTMS Core Competencies are designed as a program summary of goals for graduate student learning and self assessment through project development:
* Obtain the know how and expertise to implement the analytics of an effective, professional e-Business solution.
* Further my progressive knowledge on how to manage a noteworthy e-commerce web site. * Develop a focused, strategic approach to interpreting Internet analytics. * Gain expertise on the growth and impact of Internet marketing. * To foster the necessary skills to process to plan, schedule, and conduct technical projects while in collaboration with multiple co-workers from various locations. |
